The EU might “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unwarranted” travel bans issued by the United States on five European individuals working on combating digital hatred and disinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders including the French president charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the travel bans targeted individuals that were central to efforts to enact laws regulating American tech companies.
